Cheadle Hulme is the next place past Bramhall from me, still SK8, and still a normal run from High Lane. Most of what I see is the 1930s semis, the post-war estates, and the newer houses that have gone in since. The village itself is around Station Road and the station, where the lines split towards Stockport, Wilmslow and the airport.
A semi like that usually has radiators and a hot water cylinder in a cupboard. A heat pump can go on a house like that, but only if the radiators, or underfloor heating in an extension, will still heat the rooms. I look at that, and at where an outdoor unit can sit with air around it, before I say yes.
Newer estates and extensions are the other job: wet underfloor heating in the new part, radiators left in the rooms that stay as they are, and a cylinder to suit. I'm BPEC Level 3 heat pump qualified, and that work is the plumbing side. If a gas boiler has to come off, you need a Gas Safe engineer for that part. I don't do boiler or gas work.
